ATACP Accredited Tutor i Aquatic Therapy fra England underviser på et 2 dags kursus i
Ai Chi.

OM KURSET
Ai Chi er en rolig øvelses- og afspændingsteknik, hvor udøveren står med varmt vand
til brystbenet. Ai Chi er ideel til at opnå forbedret bevægelighed, koordination, kropsholding, balance og for at reducere stress. Der er fokus på holdning, diafragmatisk vejrtrækning og afspænding.
Sarah uses Ai Chi in group and 1:1 sessions for the rehabilitation of patients with a variety of conditions. It has been particularly beneficial for Low Back Pain, persistent pain,
and rheumatological conditions as well as with heling to manage stress and anxiety.

AIM
To equip a therapist with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively use Ai Chi for
either patient treatment (if a healthcare professional) or for general wellbeing and leisure, ideally in a warm water pool.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of the workshop the participant should be able to:

  1. Understand and be able to discuss the relevant benefits and use of Ai Chi
  2. Understand the physiology of immersion that benefits the use of Ai Chi
  3. Relate evidence-based research for support of the use of Ai Chi for patient
    treatment
  4. Understand the physical and mental focuses and adaptations for different user
    populations.
  5. Demonstrate the 19 postures of Ai Chi both within the water and on poolside
  6. Understand the skills required and demonstrate the ability to lead a group session of Ai Chi
